Train on the roller with Tannus Tires

INTRODUCTION

The roller or home trainers are the ideal training companions for our bicycles; with them, we stay in shape and increase our dopamine levels from home.

With the #YOENTRENOENCASA movement, we saw professional and non-professional athletes sharing their training routines and practical tips. Above all, they are spreading a powerful message: responsible training from home.

This is why we want to support this good practice and explain the advantages of using Tannus on the roller.

TYPES OF ROLLERS

In the market we can find different types of rollers or rollers, the most known and compatible with the Tannus are the following:

BALANCING ROLLER - ROLLERS

The "rollers", offer little resistance to pedaling and improve balance and skill on the bike. Widely used by track cyclists, in the following Instagram post you can see how the professional track cyclist Maksym Lopatiuk (Georgia) uses it.

FLUID ROLLER

These bicycle rollers use a fluid, usually oil, for the pedaling resistance system. The regulation is made by the pedaling energy and the gear ratio we use. They are the quietest and most realistic.

MAGNETIC ROLLER

They are generally the most used and most economical. The resistance to pedaling is by means of magnets and a fan, which are usually adjustable. They are less realistic and somewhat noisier but we can find options within this type of roller in which this aspect has been improved. Some are wireless and have their own simulation app.

WHY TANNUS AND NOT ANOTHER COVER?

AVOID PUNCTURES AND BURST INNER TUBES

One of the main problems when using a roller is getting a puncture or a blowout in the tube.

With traditional tires, foreign objects that get embedded during outdoor rides cause a puncture due to friction, forming a hole. This does not happen with Tannus.

Tires tend to heat up a lot when used on rollers, which also heats up the inner tube, leading to a blowout. Tannus does not require an inner tube, so this problem is avoided.

Without an inner tube, rim tape is unnecessary, unlike with traditional tires. If the rim tape breaks, the tube gets pinched by the spoke holes, also causing a puncture.

HIGH DURABILITY AND MULTIPURPOSE

Thanks to the Aither compound of Tannus tires, unlike other tires, they have a long life and durability, we guarantee +6,000 km.

In addition, another important factor is that you can use them on rol

YOUR BIKE ALWAYS READY

Tannus tires are solid but not rigid. The Aither compound is made up of 1 million closed micro air bubbles, which allows us to manipulate the pressure and define the equivalent hardness levels, Hard (high inflation pressure) and Regular (standard inflation pressure).

This pressure remains constant, and your bike will always be ready without any maintenance.

The compound is super lightweight and adapts to any surface, including the roller, as you can see in the video by Maksym Lopatiuk.

TIPS FROM OUR TANNUS RIDER'S

Juan Carlos, better known in the networks as @juancarloscrazysport, is a fitness trainer, radio broadcaster, vegan ultradistance runner but above all a true #TannusRider.

In the following Instagram post, he shares some very useful tips for using the roller.

An additional precaution when we finish our session is to remove the bike from the roller, depending on the use, the Tannus may have a very high temperature and if we leave it on the roller can lead to some deformation.

CHOOSE YOUR TANNUS

You only have to choose the model, color and hardness of your Tannus.
