Matyas Amaya, freedom is priceless
For today we bring you a special entry that we are very excited to tell the world, it is the story of Matyas Javier Amayaan Argentine who decided to give his all for Liberty.
Social networks are a perfect tool to communicate and in this case, thanks to them, we were able to find Maty.
It was a long awaited meeting, after chatting several times on the phone, we were able to meet in person at a coffee shop in Barcelona. It far exceeded our expectations.
As he told us his personal story and his journey through Latin America, he gave off that passion, that same message that Steve Jobs used to close his speech in front of students at Stanford University, "Stay hungry, stay foolish". It comes to be, don't be a conformist and go for more no matter what others think of you, be authentic, be unique, venture.
Matyas decided to change his lifestyle and start pedaling, transmitting a lot of energy, vitality and above all happiness wherever he went.
After traveling more than 88,000 km throughout Latin America (Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, among others) with his 80 kg "skinny", which he affectionately calls Libertad, and carrying even Santa Claus himself, he decided to embark with Libertad on his new destination, Europe.
His first stop in Europe was Portugal, followed by Spain.
From celebrate Cadiz goals to the realization of the road to Santiago. After touring almost all the autonomous communities, Matyas not only pedaled, but also gave lectures and radio interviews on the subject. "It takes very little to go very far."
Once he knew Spain, Matyas set his sights on Russia and we presented him with a set of Tannus Razorblade Aqua, so he would no longer have to carry the extra weight of maintenance and most importantly avoid punctures and travel safely. Now when he has to stop pedaling it will be to enjoy the scenery or meet new friends.
He started his journey in Pamplona and has already reached the Netherlands. From Tannus we are very happy to have met Matyas and to be able to help him as much as possible.
We hope you enjoy the journey and all that it entails and look forward to hearing new stories soon.
As you say: "When you want to, you can.
