Tannus selected as the best R&D & IP institution in 2019 in South Korea.

The Korea Intellectual Property Office held the "4th General Meeting of Intellectual Property Innovative Enterprises" to disseminate patent-based research and development (R&D&PI) strategies in industry, academia and research centers.

The Outstanding Institution Award (R&D&PI) is given to organizations that have achieved outstanding goals in technology generation, commercialization, technology transfer and sales growth. Tannus manufactures and develops solid tires and puncture protection inserts for mounting on electric bicycles and scooters. In particular, it has been recognized for its technology and holds more than 60% of the world share in this segment.

"Tannus has been steadily strengthening its IP infrastructure since 2016 by participating in government-led (R&D&IP) strategic support projects."

This year, the company has been gaining popularity with the launch of new products; Tannus Armour , the anti-puncture insert / semi-mousse for bicycles destined for Europe and the United States, using Big Data patents.

Young-ki Lee, CEO of Tannus, said, "Tannus always thinks about the environment and health. The main idea is to increase the use of bicycles and reduce the amount of waste generated by tires and tubes".
