The new Tannus Portal 700×28 arrives!

A renewed Semi Slick compatible with 17mm to 20mm rim interiors.

INTRODUCTION

Our second major release of this 2019, next to the Off-Road puncture proofing solution the Tannus Armour, the second request at the top of the list was a new Tires model. There were many of you asking for a 700×28 Tannus model compatible with the inner width of the latest rims on the market, whose interiors are wider, and we have it here.

FIRST APPEARANCES 

The first public appearances of this new model took place at the most important cycling fair in Asia. The Taipei International Cycle Show 2018 & 2019. Undoubtedly what attracted the most attention was the great comfort and the new side tread.

WHAT DIFFERENCES DOES IT BRING WITH RESPECT TO THE SEMI SLICK 700X28?

The Portal 700×28 is mainly focused on a more general use. racing and gravel compared to the Semi Slick, which is intended for a more urban and cycle touring.  The other aspect to note is the rim compatibility. While the Semi Slick is compatible with an inside width of between 14mm and 16mm, the Semi Slick is compatible with an inside width of between 14mm and 16mm. Tannus Portal has been designed for interiors from 17mm to 20mm. COMPOUNDING AND PERFORMANCE Year after year the compound Aither The new model is evolving and continues to introduce improvements in terms of performance and comfort. In this case, the new model Portal 700×28 offers similar performance to the New Slick 700×25 and added comfort thanks to the compound and larger ball. TECHNICAL ASPECTS The Tannus Portal 700×28 has been conceived with a fully integrated design Racing.  It incorporates a Semi Slick lateral tread pattern with a slightly grained tread and lateral lines that enhance aerodynamics. The launch of the new model of Tannus Tires, incorporates firstly the hardness Hard and is subsequently scheduled to be launched in the hardness Regular. The weight is 495gr. and available in Midnight (Black) color during the first months. Later it will be available in the current range of colors.
