COMMENCAL AND TANNUS ARMOUR, AN UNSTOPPABLE COMBO

Just as we announced a few weeks ago the Team Commencal Schwalbe (team led by Pau Menoyo) are delighted to announce that we are also the chosen insert for the COMMENCAL 100%.

The team formed by Hugo Frixtalon, Greg Williamson and Thomas Estaque has been joined this year by two new riders of renown: Mille Johnset and Angel Suarez to complete a quintet of riders with a lot of accumulated talent.

THE RIDERS THAT MAKE UP COMMENCAL 100%

Angel Suarez

The relationship with Angel Suarez is spectacular, the Galician rider is very pleased with the Tannus Armour Tubeless mousse after racing with them the previous season in Commencal21. Despite the injuries, we were able to see him achieve a Top-10 overall in the UCI World Cup on two occasions, as well as a third place in the finals (Snowshoe).. A historic podium that had not been repeated since 2007, by David Vázquez (also born in Vigo).

As always, I'm very excited for this season, and having the opportunity to ride for Commencal as part of a bigger team is what I was looking for. I'm already familiar with almost every part of the bike and the team kits are always awesome. I'm ready to give it 100%. - Angel Suarez

Mille Johnset

The great performances in the world cup of Mille Johnset have made her consolidate and be at the top of the women's Donwhill, being one of the 10 best runners in the world.

At only 20 years old, he has shown great mental strength and constant progression, the previous season he achieved his first podium in the World Cup in Les Gets, one of the most demanding tracks of the season.

I'm very excited about this new opportunity! I think joining Commencal 100% is going to be a breath of fresh air. There is a lot to learn, but all in a good way. The team looks sick and I couldn't be more proud to represent them for years to come!

As a curiosity, she was born in Norway (Lillehammer) but has Korean blood, a tie that binds her more to Tannus.

Thomas Estaque

One of the first riders to become part of the Team Commencal 100% (2018) Thomas has settled into the team after leading Team Commencal LAC-BLANC (2016).

At 23 years old, Estaque is a rider full of ambition, with great performances behind him, including a 5th place in the World Cup in Val Di Sole and a 5th place in the VALLNORD qualifying round this past season. If injuries respect him we will really enjoy his unique style.

Greg Williamson

The Scotsman Williamson is an experienced rider. A regular in the Top 10 of the DH World Cup, he is one of the most gifted riders in the UK. Complete and technical he joined Team COMMENCAL 100% in January 2020. In 2019, he achieved 5 Top15 in the DH World Cup, including a superb 7th place in the Snowshoe round. In 2017, he also won the British DH Championship.

"I am very happy to join Team COMMENCAL / 100% in 2020! All the people in this Team know the competition and the high level. I'm in New Zealand right now and I'm spending a lot of time on the new bikes. It's an amazing experience."

Hugo Frixtalon

Better known as FRIX-FRIX, he is one of the great promises of French DH. At the age of 20, his technique and his atypical style quickly proved impressive in the rounds of the World Cup, Especially when he set the third fastest time in the Val Di Sole classification. Satisfied with his first season in the elite, Hugo performed well in 2018, finishing 14th in the Vallnord round and 22nd in Val Di Sole.

Good performances that convinced the team COMMENCAL to 100% to bet on him in the season 2019.

 "It's great to race for this team. I already knew everyone before coming here, they were good friends. Being in this team allows me to be more serious, more rigorous, even if I keep my work method. I train every day, but in my opinion, pleasure must always come first. This method worked well last season, I hope it will allow me to make some top 10s in the World Cup this season!
